Background
Someone in a PlayStation party chat once told me, that they were about to take my internet offline. Then I got hit with a DDoS attack. This sparked my curiosity for cyber security before I even knew what it was.
I taught myself to program in high school and moved from there to TryHackMe, where I climbed to a top 1% ranking. Afterwards I pursued a Bachelor of Applied Computer Science on the Cyber Security Professional elective track at Howest in Bruges.
In 2025 I got into Hack the Government 2025, Belgium's private, invite-only bug bounty program for government systems, and found two vulnerabilities there: a cross-site scripting issue and a remote code execution issue. Intigriti rated one of them exceptional severity and the other medium. I picked hacking back up more seriously on HackTheBox in July 2026, and that is where most of my practice happens now.
This blog is where I write about whatever I'm working on. Sometimes that's a CTF challenge. Sometimes it's a new tool or technique I'm picking up. There's no fixed beat, just what has my attention at the time.
I write things down because that is how I actually learn them. Explaining something to a reader forces me to explain it to myself first, and that is usually where I notice what I got wrong or missed the first time round.
